Interesting Ted talk. Not a Christian talk, it comes from a very different worldview. But she gives lots of reasons to reject the "Born this way" argument. A friend recently told me that the vast majority of people in the LGBT community prefer to talk about homosexuality as an identity choice, whereas it's Christians who want to be compassionate who are trying to push the "born this way" argument in order to try to change church doctrines on this issue.

As I, and many others, have always argued, the "born this way" argument has no bearing at all on the moral issues of homosexuality. And it also has no bearing on our compassion. Even if people choose to live a homosexual lifestyle we are still supposed to respond to them with love and compassion as our Lord told us to.

What are your thoughts?

I came across an article about a new book, but it is really an interview with the author and a chance for him to share his testimony. I highly recommend reading it. It will inspire you to live for Christ and give you great encouragement!

I agree that we should call people by whatever name they want. Names are arbitrary. But I will not use the 50+ pronoun sets that are being proposed for the same reasons he outlines.
