I honestly got bogged down in his theology... I can say with most people that my theology is limited. A famous (to some) man by the name of Conrad Grebel who was hunted and eventually died of the plague said “I believe the word of God without a complicated interpretation and out of this belief I speak." also "The teachings of the Lord have been given for the purpose of being put into practice.”
I'm not going to say that all the Bible can be interpreted literally, but if taking it literally doesn't come out with confusion when we honestly look at it...
Even though the old testament is the only place CD is directly addressed and we can try to say we are not under that law, there are two applications I can think of... If it was an abomination then and a truth that God does not change... then by implication it still applies. We also have passages that talk about men who are effeminate and how they won't go to heaven...
I've actually been told that there is nothing wrong with CD by a Christian brother before... I suppose if one can put the clothes on and have no thoughts... Maybe... but then the question is why would you put them on?
Its sort of like self pleasure, if you can do it without impure thoughts, then some could say its fine but I'd be skeptical of their claim.
